Grants to New York individuals and families for rent support during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. Priority funding is intended to assist households with the greatest economic and social need, taking into consideration income, rent burden, percent of income lost, and risk of homelessness. Rent subsidies will be sent directly to the household's landlord.

The rental assistance payment will cover the difference between the household’s rent burden on March 1, 2020, and the increase in rent burden for the months for which the household is applying for assistance.
Households can apply for up to four months in rent assistance.
