In-kind support valued at $20,000 to a New York City public, private, or charter school for recreational activities. The support is intended to implement a bicycle riding program in an elementary school. The goal of the program is to lead children to achieve personal and academic growth, desire higher levels of physical activity, and make healthier eating choices. The grant recipient will receive bikes, helmets, teacher curriculum and training, and student kits for each student participating in the program.
