Grants to New York nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible communities for employment services for individuals who have emigrated from Puerto Rico or who are unemployed or underemployed as a result of Hurricane Maria. Funding is intended to provide outreach and to enable sign-up at a local Career Center, initial assessment, career development, employment access, and follow-up services. Eligible communities include New York City (Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, and New York Counties) and Broome, Erie, Monroe, Montgomery, Onondaga, and Tompkins Counties.

Single award amounts will not exceed $100,000. There is no minimum award amount.
Contracts will be awarded for a period to begin October 1, 2017 and not to exceed the end of the Federal grant, which is currently set to expire on June 30, 2020.
