Grants to Bronx, New York nonprofit organizations, schools, institutes of higher education, and little leagues to improve the quality of life for local residents. Funding is intended to support programs and projects in the areas of health, education, recreation, arts, and culture.

Estimated Size of Grant:

-Small Grants: $500 Minimum to $1,500 Maximum
-Sports Equipment Grants: $500 Minimum to $2,500 Maximum
-Large Grants: $1,501 Minimum to $15,000 Maximum

-For Elementary Schools & High Schools, a Maximum Grant up to $5,000 will be considered.
-For Higher Education, a Maximum Grant up to $5,000 will be considered.

Term of Contract:

Small Grants: Repeat requests acceptable
Sports Equipment Grants: Repeat requests acceptable
Large Grants: 3 consecutive year request maximum

Organizations may apply for 3 consecutive years and then must skip a year before applying again. For example: If you received funding in 2016, 2017 & 2018 you will NOT be eligible to apply for 2019.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations must be Bronx-based to apply. This means that the principal place of business is in the Bronx.

Schools are eligible to apply for funding (This includes elementary schools, high schools, and IHEs)

Nonprofits should provide evidence of 501(c)(3) status or use a Fiscal Conduit.

Little League Organizations that are NOT 501 c3 and have a LL Charter must submit a current Charter

Ineligible Requests:
-Political contributions
-Religious purposes
-Start-up groups/organizations- must be in existence for at least 3 years.
-Ticket purchases (for dinners, golf outings, or similar fundraising events)
-One Day Events (such as street fairs, parades, etc.)
-Permanent funding
-Capital Improvements (building, repairs, property improvement)
-Personnel Services, Salary and Administrative expense
-Consultant Fees

Pre-Application Information:

Fall Funding Deadline- July 31st (must be sent in via regular mail only)

Applicants may make requests for game tickets using the small grants application form which can be found in the "Supporting Documents" section below.

Note: Sports Equipment grants will be paid directly by the NY Yankees if approved and can take 6-8 weeks to get paid.
